God took the strength of a mountain,
The majesty of a tree,
The warmth of a summer sun,
The calm of a quiet sea,
The generous soul of nature,
The comforting arm of night,
The wisdom of the ages,
The power of the eagle's flight,
The joy of a morning in spring,
The faith of a mustard seed,
The patience of eternity,
The depth of a family need,
Then God combined these qualities,
When there was nothing more to add,
He knew His masterpiece was complete,
And so,
He called it ... Dad

Written from my heart, I really don’t know where to start

The person you are and have become, I know you were there all along

The two words said so often yet mean a lot is what I have not said often enough

The love and care you give, the amazing lady you are, yes you helped me come this far

The appreciation and thanks that I do not show therefore you don’t know

how much I appreciate u and have not once forgot

You encouraged me, made me face some of my fears and comforted me when I bursted into tears

How often I feel alone but know you said you’d always be there

Makes me realize how a true friend honestly cares

I just want to take this opportunity to THANK YOU for everything you have done for me

For making a bad day seem reasonable, putting a smile on my face, constantly telling me you cared and that you would always be there.

Each day that I don’t say thank you doesn’t mean I don’t care, because truth is I think about you all day

Think of the things I have done wrong and what I would do if you were gone.

In Memory of You

I find an old photograph
and see your smile.
As I feel your presence anew,
I am filled with warmth
and my heart remembers love.
I read an old card
sent many years ago
during a time of turmoil and confusion.
The soothing words written then
still caress my spirit
and bring me peace.

I remember who you used to be
the laughter we shared
and wonder what you have become.
Where are you now,
Where did you go,
When the body is left behind
and the spirit is released to fly?

Perhaps you are the morning bird
singing joyfully at sunrise,
or the butterfly that dances
so carelessly on the breeze
or the rainbow of colors
that brightens a stormy sky
or the fingers of afternoon mist
delicately reaching over the mountains
or the final few rays of the setting sun
lighting up the skies
edging the clouds with a magical glow.

I miss your being
but I feel your presence,
In whatever form you choose to take,
however you now choose to be.

Your spirit has become for me
a guardian angel on high
guiding, advising, and watching over me.

I remember you.
You are with me
and I am not afraid.

Floating, swirling gracefully,
